Fall off the map sounds odd. It makes me suspect its a problem with the game and not the drivers.

These games are buggy as all hell, so I wouldn't doubt it if it just hates you/your rig. Was this happening in the other bought version you got rid of as well?

I remember losing 4 hours of progress in New Vegas because I was walking around the wasteland the out of nowhere I fell through the map. I ended up teleporting miles outside of the game zone in a small lake filled with Mirelurks and just the moon above me. Very strange. This was on the Xbox version too.

thats ENB, the "light" edition. The mod goes under the name of "Enhanced Shaders"

It has an impact on performance though. Running anything but the light version will make the game unplayable.

Can anyone recommend me a amd driver version to revert back to? something that from personal experience is stable?

Thats wierd. I used to take Fallout 3/NV seriously but all these bugs just made it a very painful experience. Now whenever i encounter them (and thats often, assuming there's no CTD) i just try and laugh it off.

Nonetheless, i'm growing very sick of starting a new game, thinking "Oh well maybe it'll work THIS time!" spending 30 or so minutes creating a character then coming across game breaking bugs, such as not being able to enter galaxy news radio, or graphical glitches, etc.

Aside from this, i have to also use CASM to save my games as i also tend to suffer with persistent savegame corruption/bloat. And CASM doesn't always solve it.

It's honestly more trouble then it's worth. But that wasteland is so addictive xD

I am playing F3 now. I purchased the game through Steam (GOTY Ed.) For the most part it has played fine on my GTX580. There have been some minor anomolies, but overall it plays fine. I love the game as it seems to go on forever with no end in sight...

The entire Fallout series is one of my favorites of all time. I love the lore and game play of them all. Unfortunately any game that Bethesda touches seems to be riddled with bugs, glitches, and horrible game breaking code. But god damn, do they make immersive games on a massive scale that tickle my fancy in such a way that no other game maker can. :[ Here's to hoping Skyrim won't be a bug fest!

lol yeah right

Yup, exactly the same here. I love the atmosphere, the humor (awkward bugs aside) but ever since my days in Oblivion i've had nothing but hassle.

Oblivion, Fo3, NV, all suffering with the same problems. Persistent, random CTD's and lockups. weird bugs, etc.

Such a shame. I have more hope for Skyrim than what i did for New Vegas. As i know Skyrim is running an enhanced version of Gamebryo. The engine was barely touched for New Vegas.

Another bug i had:

The above was pretty commonplace, especially in tenpenny tower. "Havokable" objects would just go crazy for no reason and "pool" at a certain point. Somehow i was even able to sit on this point!

From what i remember, i was only running a few HUD mods, NMC's and FWE in this game at the time.

It's stuff like this that keeps me coming back though:

Lol, I love being able to do what ever you want. I have fond memories of punching a random prisoner so hard he exploded in to a small child. Then when I came back later, to my horror, he was alive sort of... He was a floating skull with some muscle dragging all of his bits in a pile like Pyramid Head's cleaver talking to the child like nothing was wrong.

Or the time when Legate Lanius decapitated 3 NCR troopers with one swing of his bumper sword when I was about two steps away from him. You just don't find that in any other games.

Have you reverted drivers yet?
