Wrong. The 6950 is more comparable to the 560 TI.

As you can see from the benchmarks provided, extra memory has little to no impact on a single monitor. The sheer performance of the 590/570/580 shine through the vRam stacked AMD cards in current DX11 games....Numbers don't lie, people do.

You mean shines through in BF3, which is directly related to AA. Take a wider look across other titles and the 6970 has a slight lead over the 570. That being said, and as an owner of a 6970, at equal price points I would pick up a 570 for better drivers and BF3 performance; I don't see the lack of memory being an issue. So, do some price searching and get whichever is cheaper (unless you're a BF3 nut).

True, but it's the same with Crysis 2. I honestly don't see AMD being able to drastically improve MSAA performance in BF3. They never could fix the Crysis 2 DX11 performance issue because it was never driver related to begin with. We're possibly looking at the same situation now with BF3.....and of course the amd fangirls will continue to blame the developers because their cards don't work properly.

Having said that, it's a toss up between the 570 and 6970...there really isn't a wrong choice here, but I feel he'll get more bang for buck with a non reference 570. The 570 will have greater performance gains from overclocking than the hd 6970 will....
