1st build, and it's going to be a good one! - Page 2

Your rig will run fine with BF3. I believe the recommended is a 69xx series graphics card anyways. I heard BF3 runs well with 8GB so you are fine with that along with the 2500K since it's great for gaming. Also like said above, Try switching to a corsair PSU.

Have you also thought about adding an SSD to your built? I personally think and I'm sure other people will agree it would be a great investment and there are guides on the forums here on how to setup it up and get the most out of it.

How well will my setup run BF3? Also, I plan on adding another 6950 farther down the road to sort of "future-proof" it.
i recommend these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428

your rig looks pretty good, itll run pretty much anything on full settings at 1080p except for those really demanding titles.

If I went with the 6970, would I be able to max everything with AA & filtering on?

Save your self a bit of money and get a good 6950 and just flash the bios to a full 6970, my ASUS 6950 easly flashed.

If you plan on adding another 6950 into your rig, you might want to look at 750W PSU. I doubt 600W would be enough for xfire 6950s.

Do NOT get the Seagate barracuda hard drive. I've had 3 of the same ones and they only lasted for about 3 months each. Just died out of no where.
