The threads here seem to be spread out I'm trying to create one uniform thread.This includes links to ULPS, and CAP+Driver combinations. I figured it'd be better to just have a thread with all of this in one. If you'e having stuttering, FPS drops, or any other issues while using a Crossfire set up, please try the methods below. If you still have CAP 3 installed, that is your problem, please uninstall it using the method below. I will continue to update this thread as necessary.
Tested configurations by me personally and their outcomes.
11.9 + CAP 3 = Bad
11.10 Rev 3 + CAP 3 = Bad
11.10 Rev 3 = Good
11.10 Rev 3 + CAP 2 = Good
11.10 Rev 3 + CAP 4 = Good performance
11.10 Official Release + CAP 4 Official Release = Good
11.11 Official Release + CAP 11.11 [1] = Slightly improved performance over 11.10 and CAP 4, most recommended
11.11b = Similar performance to 11.11 and it's CAPS, not a required upgrade. DO NOT DOWNLOAD 11.11B USING A 5K SERIES CARD.
11.11c + CAP 2 = Great performance.
12.1 = Great performance.

TWEAK SECTION
Still having bad performance? Want to squeeze extra juice out of your system? Please try the following methods to reduce stutter and possibly increase FPS, or lower vram usage.
Tweak one; Let's focus on setting up the compatibility for the .exe
1. Right click on your Battlefield 3 exe on your desktop, and click properties
2. Click the "Compatibility" tab, make sure these boxes are checked, Disable Visual Themes, Disable Desktop Composition, and Run this programs as an administrator
3. Click OK, and launch the .exe, your windows theme should turn into basic. This can result in roughly 200mb free.

Tweak two; Once you've done that, we can work on the pagefile.
Click your windows start button and pull up control panel.
Once you have the control panel up we're going to want to go to System and Security, and from there System. On the left side of the system tab you should have "Control Panel Home" with 4 options. Device Manager, Remote Settings, System Protection, Advanced System Settings.
Click on Advanced System Settings. This should pull up a system properties box, if not already there, make sure you're on the Advanced tab, and under Performance, click settings. Click the advanced tab and "Change..." on virtual memory.
Once here, it should tell you at the bottom the minimum, recommended, and currently allocated virtual memory. Click the "Custom size" bullet, and in the Initial Size, and Maximum size enter the Recommended page file size, and click set, and then OK.
Your PC may ask you to restart, be sure to restart and try it out and report back.

Tweak 3; I also recommend disabling ULPS via Regedit.
To do so follow these steps
1. Open the Regedit program, this can be done by using the start button search function
2. Once you have regedit opened, click edit, and then "Find"
3. Type Enableulps in the search bar
4. Double click enableulps and change the 1 to a 0, hit F3 to find all instances of enableulps, don't bother with enableulps_na
5. Exit regedit and restart

Tweak one; For Intel I7 users : Try disabling hyper-threading to reduce stutter.

Tweak one; Start a new power-cycle on your PC by completely shutting it down, and shutting off / unplugging your PSU. Restart the PC and [Possibly] enjoy your CF scaling as it should be!

Tweak two; Go into options turn mouse sensitivity down to 25%
Turn Raw mouse input to ON
Turn solider look sensitivity all the way up to max, this can cause the game to play smoother, DICE has acknowledged this as an issue that will be fixed in the up-coming patch

Program 1; ATIMan is a helpful program for removing left-over registry entries and programs after MANUALLY uninstalling CAPs/Drivers. It's similar to Driversweeper only made for ATI.

Program 2; ULPS Config Utility by OCN user Kiwiasian! ULPS Configuration Utilty
A standalone, DOS-based utility with a user interface for both enabling ULPS and disabling ULPS. For those who are too lazy to find the registry key or don't want to mess around with the registry.
This utility automatically changes the value of the EnableUlps value in your registry to either enable or disable ULPS.
In addition, you can back up and restore your ULPS registry key as a portable .reg file.

Q. "I have a 6990, or two 6990's, why is my scaling SO BAD?!"
A. Simply put, I don't know. This is something on ATI's side or how BF3 handles the 6990 card. I know of few 6990 success stories for getting proper scaling. I can only recommend checking out the tweak section and trying everything there.
Q. "ATIMan is coming up as a virus, OMG H4XXOR TRYING TO GIVE ME VIRUS?!"
A. ATIMan shows up as a FALSE POSITIVE. It is NOT a virus but I won't be held responsible if it turns your PC into Skynet and starts WWIII, or for any other damages.
Q. "I don't like ATIMan/Heard bad things, what else can I use?"
A. Try Driversweeper, but make sure you find a legitimate download link as it's no longer supported, once again, this is at your own risk. If your PC comes alive and begins making buttered toast, not my problem.
Q. "Why is it after trying these I STILL get bad performance?"
A. This can lead to MANY, MANY answers. Bad CPU overclock? Bad PSU? Simply put, there's SO many configurations I can't narrow everything down. I try my best, but a lot of people here chime in to help, just ask around.
