A thing I've noticed is that trying to change the setting to Ultra will cause the game to lag massively and that lag will not go until you restart the game even if you change the setting back to a lower setting. I think its possibly something to do with the AA setting as that's the only setting that gives me a massive performance hit and virtually makes the game unplayable.

5970 here
11.10 preview 3 + CAP 4
Great FPS : never seen less than 70
All ultra + 2xMSAA + Deffered AA on high + HBAO + No blur + fov 80

Smooth gameplay, no gliches, no flickering

The only issue I got is that I can't enable the Vsync.
Every time I try from the game, it freezes when I save the parameters.
Tried from the CCC and the game would hang once the map is loaded...

Oh well it runs grat without it and there are no stutters.
For the record my HT is ON.

scaling does appear to be working very well in bf3 with the latest drivers for me
Sadly on the Sabertooth I only have two 16x lanes

I think you might find that with Intel your 2 x16 lanes will actually be running at x8 when running more than 1 card. Running 3 cards you might end up with a x4...

I have the same board and my 6970's do run at X8, if you do a 6990 and 6970 the 6990 the spolit will Be X8 X4 X4. WHich may not be a big problem at 1920x1080 as some tests have shown but in eyefinity it will be a big issue. That is why I am going to switch to a 4 PCIe slot board soon.

Also for comp to your system I get 60-80FPS with everything maxed 4xMSAA in 1920x1080 and 20-30 at 5760x1080. I also turned HT off and I am running only 11.9 no caps.

Everything is Silky Smooth!

Yeah, they are running at 8x.

So either I pick up a 6990 for my 6970 or get a new motherboard and pickup a 6950 and attempt to unlock it.

Have you noticed high CPU usage? When I play BF3 it seems that all CPU cores are at 90%+

I just reinstalled windows to get a fresh start with the 11.10 v3 preview driver and the CAP 4 update (coming from 11.10v3 and CAP 3) but I am still having some problems.

I am getting much better framerates than I was. I had the game at lowest settings at 1920x1200 with two 6970's and I was getting 40 fps. Now I've got the game on high settings @ 1920x1200 and getting ~50 fps but I know it should be much higher.

My problem is, according to the msi afterburner beta, that only one of my cards is being fully utilized. I noticed this with the CAP 3 and thought CAP 4 would fix it but my 2nd card is never using more than 20% of its power (again according to msi afterburner) Anyone having similar issues / no of a fix for this?
