i have to set to high and only texture at ultra only. nothing seems to be working as of now bf3 and amd really need to fix this... i specially get my 6950 cf just for bf3 on
ultra and got this performance which is very disappointing

Me me me.....I have sapphire 1gb 6950's crossfire and I honestly think the performance is garbage I've tried every driver and cap that has been released since the game came out and there has been no difference. Whenever my fps is like 120 it looks perfect, as soon as it dips anywhere under 100 fps the game looks soo choppy and microstutters or whatever, why in the world does 95 fps look like 10?. I'm only running the game on high settings msaa off and motion blur off @ 1680 x 1050. I've done a fresh install of windows 7, I disabled themes and all unnecessary services.....NOTHING has made a difference, all I want to do is play this game and I'm at a complete loss.mad.gif

i got crappy experience as well! since i installed my XFX HD 6950 2GB crossfire, i tried to lauch a game in BF3 today and surprise... i tried to set video option to fullscreen and driver crashed as well as origin. ***?

I got driver 11.11c + cap3

I see many 6950CF getting horrible fps. with my 460 1GB sli i was getting like 95fps ultra/high no AA. 65 with AA. I hope my card could handle this game well... Or i hope they would fix that AMD card problem in battlefield 3.

I did a clean sweep and fresh driver install today. Loaded up 11.11c with NO CAP file and no OC on the cards or +20% or anything. Jumped right in to BF3, set eyefinity resolution 5760x1080, and clicked on ultra tab. This ***** is running SMOOTH. Not the fps I was expecting, then again I'm in eyefinity so avg 55fps in ultra is acceptable for now smile.gif I'll OC the cards later.

NO CAPS, just 11.11c by it's lonesome. Yesterday I couldn't do this though, that's why I did a completely fresh install. I even pulled the cards after the driver sweep and switched them so it would completely reset all gpu drivers. Seemed to do the trick!!! thumb.gif

I wouldn't use 11.9 caps personally.
And he means you have to alt-tab, and then tab back in to the game. thumb.gif

I'd written quite a long post but when i tried to post it, my internetconnection f*cked up...

oh well, what drivers are you recommending for 2x http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150550

I got a tip from a guy who was using two sapphire 6950s and he said that it worked perfect when he had installed CCC 11.11c and CAP 2.

Ok guys, finally I can properly utilize my gaming PC in BF3. All I had to do is download the leaked 11.12 drivers (8.930). This thing rocks.

Here's the link:
http://news.softpedia.com/news/New-AMD-Catalyst-11-12-Beta-8-93-Driver-for-Download-237878.shtml

If for some reason you dont see performance gains in crossfire, overwrite the default profile with the new one and make sure you select "Optimize 1x1" under the "AMD CrossfireX Mode for 3D Applications".

My FPS offline went to 120 fps locked (I've got 120Hz monitor) from fluctuating between 100 to 120. No more problems. Finally my Tri-Fire setup can show its full potential.

Online I'm seeing between 67 and 120 fps, due to my CPU bottleneck, but that's ok.

I seriously doubt that 2400 Quad is bottlenecking you. Most likely just drivers again not utilizing your VRAM properly in MP. No offense but this is why I genuinely believe anything more than 2 GPU's is a waste. (coming from a former QuadFire user. redface.gif)

On a SN I would like to mention that I'm getting absolute lovely results with the latest 11.11c + 11.11 CAP 3. My 6990 is constantly pegging 99% on both GPU's giving me beautiful FPS on MP 80-120 easy. Hardly any dips below 80 (biggest explosions) @ Ultra. everything maxed No MSAA This is with the AUSUM Bios switch to 1 at stock, which gives me a real 10fps gain.

Im just using AMD System monitor to look at the CPU/GPU utilization and I constantly see my CPU around 93-95% while GPU utilization is somewhere near 60-80%, so that's why I said that. Seems that way at least.

I'm using 11.11a with 11.9 CAP 4 and they work really well. CFX scaling is working correctly and both cards are utilized evenly. Running everything on max (including MSAA) with vsync on. Sometimes fps drops about few frames but overall performance is great.
