CORSAIR Professional Series HX750

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1600)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157271

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 (Has all the features, PCI-E 3.0, cheap, all the reviews are stellar, people are hitting 5GHZ easily on this board.)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge - Does it really need any introduction? I don't need the 2600K, because I only game, and HT doesn't help with that, infact, the 2500K wins in some benchies due to the overhead HT creates)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835608018

Noctua NH-D14 (Best Air Cooler, Thermalmakes Silver Arrow comes close, though.)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136238

LG CD / DVD / Burner (Switched, it's 55$ less than the Blu-Ray burner, which I can get later)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233204

Corsair Force Series 3 90GB (Yes, I know about Sandforce issues, but they're fixed, and all my friends swear by them now.)

Max Sequential Read
Up to 550 MB/s

Max Sequential Write
Up to 500 MB/s

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.759936

COOLER MASTER CM Storm Series Trooper (Epic case!) (Comes with BF3 LE for 30$!)

(Epic Cable management)

-----

A few SATA cables and whatnot, but pretty epic. I know the Mobo has only 2x SATAIII connectors, but I do not plan on using raid configs, and 4 is plenty for normal HDD's. People are hitting 5GHZ easily on the new Z68 boards, though I plan to stay at a moderate 4.5GHZ, as I'd feel downright slothy using 5GHZ. I use PC's for about 4-5 years, and my Q6600 has reached that point, so it's time to change it up.

Comes out to about 1089$, shipping included. my GTX470 will be OK for now, I can always replace it later. I cannot wait to order this mofo.

That looks like a fantastic build! I'm sure you must be ecstatic.

Have you considered an H80/H100 instead of the Nuctua?

I looked at the H80 / 100, both are more expensive, and make more noise, and cool about the same, so not that interested. The H80 is 2x as loud as the Noctua from what I've read, and only cools bout 2c more. Noctua can also put a third fan in, still be more quiet, and cool even better than the H80 and surpass the H100 by just a little bit.

1089$ USD, as I said at the bottom of the post.

I thought about not getting a modular PSU and saving myself 35$, but it just looks so neat and tidy. That extra 35$ could be put towards an additional fan for the Noctua though, and I could manage stuff around, It's iffy.

Ah very nice price. Not bad at all. I am also looking at building a new PC. Mostly cause I've had mine for a bit and want to be fully upgradeable to Ivy Bridge and PCIE 3.0

Nowhere near worth the price over the NH-D14. LOL

Better ram for slightly more: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231445 ---- (CL8 Vs. CL9)

And the cooler looks good but remember you could probably hit 4.6Ghz with a Hyper 212+ and the max it hits with Prime95 is 70c. And it only costs ~25$.

Also don't forget that MicroCenter has $40 off 2500k + Mobo and $80 off 2600k + Mobo. And you could use Newcustomer10 to take $10 off any Newegg order over $50 (you could make new accounts to abuse it ).

Other than that the build looks great and good luck with it

Yeah, but the ambient temp is rather hot around here, my room is very small. So I want to be sure, and I can push 5GHZ if I really want to.

Also, there's no performance difference with that RAM, at least in games. I've seen the benchies, in benchmarks really, that is where it does better, but all I do is game really, so it wouldn't affect me.

Newegg has free shipping for almost everything I'm getting...MicroCenter does not. MicroCenter also doesn't ship, or at least the Core i5 2500k is in store only. We don't have one in New Hampshire.

Had some friends with the H212 also, and they ended up getting pretty bad performance, so overall, plus the Noctua is future proof. Want this to be one killer rig.

was wondering how is the Noctua future proof? Does it have compatibility for Ivy Bridge?
