BF3: 4gb system ram not REALLY enough

Thread Starter
So I was playing BF3 and I noticed it was using 94-96% of my 4gb system ram. I was like WTH! I also noticed fps spikes and the such. WELL, I have 2gb extra ram laying around so I threw it in and MAN BF3 still chews up almost 80% of it. The game did seem MUCH smoother though. Can system ram really affect it that much?

I was using close to 5 gigs playing, though I do have other stuff running. More RAM does help, removing bottlenecks and such

I had to close a few programs in order to deal with FPS spikes.

Same issue. Another member recommended Game Booster. Seemed to help me.

I was able to play for a couple hours without issues.
