OP, do you have any proof that BF3 needs more than 2GB? If not, please don't spread misinformation.
Once again...

If the camera on my phone worked I would take a pic of my g15 keyboard while playing. It's nice that you just assume I am lying.....thanks. Now, just in spite I will take a pic with my fiancés phone tomorrow and post it. I have already shutdown for the night.

Edit: you are also calling everyone who posted on here agreeing with me a lier....way to be a royal troll.

I dont think you are lying since I have 8gb and I am seeing as high as %61 usage with up to 90% CPU usage. THis game is seriously taxing on your system. They need to redo their minimum req for this game. ANyone trying to run it with 2gb is going to have issues.

Duckie is not a troll.

Please post a picture of the BF3.exe memory usage in Task Manager and/or Resource Monitor. The most important one to see is Private Memory.

Did you miss what I said earlier? I have already shut down for the night. I also asked how am I supposed to achieve that while in game?

I had 2 gb in use before loading BF3, at at its peak, I appeared to be using right under 5 gb of total system memory. Resource Manager says BF3 only used 1.5 gb, but system total "In Use" before and after (5-2) equated to right around 3 gb of usage. I have 6 gb of total RAM, and playing on Ultra settings (without AA), I constantly had no free memory.

i had bad lag in the bf3 beta after playing a couple rounds with 4gb, but i'm not sure if that can be attributed to memory leaks.

Any how I upgraded to 8gb after that, and i'm getting 100% smooth gameplay now. It might actually be true.

Open Resource Monitor before you play BF3. Then ALT + TAB out of game. Not too hard right?

The most important value to see is Private Memory. That is the memory that is reserved only for that process and cannot be shared with other processes.

Considering I was using less than 2 gb of system memory before booting up BF3, and had zero free MB while playing, I wonder if I'll need another stick. I have perfectly smooth play for about 10-15 seconds, then the same areas drop to a crawl (60 FPS down to around 35 or 40 FPS). Completely messes with my aim and overall experience. Hopefully 8 gb will sort it out.

Nope. But it's impossible when the computer is off...lol. Until tomorrow when I can post pics why don't ya read the whole thread from the beginning and look at the collective knowledge thats here. Trust us, the game will use much more than 2 or even 4 gigs if it has it to use. I know the numbers I see while playing. Numbers don't lie and I know what I am seeing and experiencing.
