Aftermarket cooler for XFX 6950

Thread Starter
The fan on my 6950 has decided to stop working, and i am considering buying an aftermarket cooler for it instead of waiting to RMA it.

I think that my 6950 is a non-reference design, so i am unsure what will fit on it. This is the exact card i have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150523

What coolers would you guys suggest, or even what would fit

Aftermarket coolers only cool the chip, they arent full coverage, so reference or not, they fit. You may need extra heat sinks for the VRM and RAM though.

It works on the 6950; remember that a VF3000A won't sit all the way up against the bracket:

Have you had a look at the Accelero XTREME Plus?

They are one of the best aftermarket coolers out there. And, very quiet
