Corsair 800D modification for LAN.

Thread Starter
What's up guys, I didn't plan on doing this (bringing my massive 800D to a LAN for my website) but it's come down to the fact that I need to.

In preparation I was given some money to do necessary changes to ensure safety of components and transportation.

What I'm looking to do is install wheels so transportation is easier and I would also like to install case locks so that no one can just pop off my side panel and screw with my computer.

If anyone has any recommendations on either of the two I would SERIOUSLY appreciate some feedback, I gotta' get these mods done ASAP.

Thanks in advance!

This fixes your security issue and you only need replace the screws...

And you could easily bolt these wheels on any case...

Those Lian Li wheels seem to be a popular choice so I'll definitely look into those.

The 800D doesn't use screws, it opens through a button mechanism so there aren't any screws to replace.

well maybe you could still use that key security mechanism, all you need to do is screw a couple holes through the side panel and main case frame and instead of using screws, use the keys. This means that every time you want to unlock this side panel, you would need to unlock the security keys and the normal locking mechanism. However, if you are at home and you don't feel like the extra security is needed, just remove the security keys and use the normal mechanism as usual....

I'm not home right now but I'm pretty sure the panels aren't even wide enough to drill into it.

I'll check when I get home.

those screws are actually very clever I may have to buy myself a set. But whats stopping anyone from using a vice-grip and using that to just turn it loose?

Yeah I looked at the side panel and there is a quarter inch on it, I have no idea how I could lock it. :/

Anyone know a good place to get those Lian Li wheels? I don't want to pay like $36 bucks each for em'.
