If loud bass is an issue, you could get a buttkicker type thing. That way you just feel the bass but you don't hear it.

Well what would you suggest then? Even if it does peek around $400.

UPDATE: I don't think the specifics I'm looking for truly exist. So I'm looking for either a 2 or 2.1 setup. The least possible amount of wires. I would prefer the wires to not be the bare connectors/clamp ons. Like the ones on my Pro Medias, I hate it. I'd rather it just plug in. I would like spectacular all around quality with some bass since I'm going with wires. USB would be preferred but that doesn't seem to really exist either.

Ok. If you are wanting even decent speakers, they will have real speaker wire with wires on the end, or you can always put banana plugs on them. All of the things you are listing as specifics you want in speakers, are for really low quality pc style speakers.

If you want decent speakers you will need either an amp or receiver to power them. You can get a refurbished denon for around 200$. Here is one of the online stores links for their receivers http://www.dakmart.com/Audio-Home-Au..._15/index.html I believe they come with a 1 year warrenty. Then you can look around for some decent bookshelf speakers.

You can look for Polk, klypsch, onkyo, JBL and some others. These are not the geatest speakers, but you will be able to get some bookshelves for under 200$, and they sell these at places like best buy and other stores where you can actually go and check them out.

Well if that is the case, maybe I should see what is wrong with my own speakers instead. They make lots of static when shifting volumes up and down. There really isn't a low volume, it jumps to medium. What would cause that? I saw it may be dirty connectors or ones that are loose. My room is VERY dusty, all of the time.

Wow I just saw these speakers. http://audioengineusa.com/Store/Audioengine-5
So I could get those, and use the wireless adapter? That seems like a perfect setup! I mean yeah, it'll cost $400+ but I haven't seen anything bad about these speakers. Any thoughts?
