You are currently at E6600 speeds. At C2D E6600 speeds, not Pentium DC speeds. In technicality your chip should be faster than a C2D E6600.

Read these 2 very thoroughly,

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...ing-guide.html
http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...rclocking.html

Then look at what some other people with the same CPU got, set some goals and get an idea of what you will need,

E6600 speed 3.06ghz
im running at 2.4ghz

C2D E6600 Running speed = 2.4GHz. Look at the link.
PDC E6600 Running speed = 3.06GHz.

To get to PDC E6600 speeds your going to need an FSB of 383FSB.

Try 333MHz FSB.

Yeah, it should be fine, if not increase the ram voltage a small amount. Does your ram have heatspreaders/sinks on them?

Good. If anything, drop the RAM multiplier so that it wont go over 800 MHz.
