my i5-2500k seems slower at times in BFBC2 than x4 955 - Page 2

From what I've seen of low voltage ram it is terrible for overclocking.

My cas 9 1600 sniper set couldn't even do 1866 (1.5v stock) with 1.67v. If you go above 1.5v on the ram you need to raise VCCIO voltage so it remains within .5v of the ram (1.v at stock for 1.5v ram, so 1.65v ram needs 1.15v on the VCCIO).

Try setting your ram settings back to factory and increase the voltage to 1.5v.

See if that fixes your problem, otherwise keep it there, and start working on your cpu OC.

Is your gpu usage dropping when you get the slow downs from explosions?

Are you using an SSD and HDD or OS HDD with another HDD for games, with the game running on the HDD? If so did you disable windows turning off the HDD?

it seems to me like somethings messed up with ur windows and/or drivers....
have u tried disabling core parking in windows 7....
try this
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1861804

and/or reinstall ur gfx card drivers and update windows components.....

as a last resort make all ur hardware to run@stock settings and reinstall windows.....

Edit: in windows 7 if some cores r not being used then windows parks them or turns them off and in case sudden workload increases then it could create performance hiccups..as the cores being parked have to be unparked to be activated again to be used......

I set the ram bck to defualt CL7 and 1.35V, qtp/vcc voltage back to auto so 1.05

Played some BC2 all maxed @1080p, the CPU usage is pretty much 50% on all 4 cores, the total ram usage was ~2.2GB, ~1.2GB for BC2

in heavey metal fps with vsync is pretty much always 60, a bunch of times drops to 45 when I suicide chopter bomb a tank

saw as low as 21fps when a chopter blew up my C4 loaded chopter, smoke seems to hit my 6950 hard too

GPUZ said the max usage was only 93% after about 10min, so I turned up the 20% powertune restarted GPUz and that time it said max was 89% after about 5-10min

what the hell is going on?? I'm going to OC my card and try again

Is gpu usage dropping during the "worst" parts? Have you tried it without vsync? Have you recently updated your drivers?
