Can I SLI GTX 560 ti with this?

Thread Starter
Hey all! I'm looking to purchase a second 560 ti for some games coming up..namely Skyrim..and wanted to pull out the most of my graphics settings. Will this PSU be able to pull both of them on the system I have below? (Dont mind the PSU there...Ill be replacing it with the Antec)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20650w%20green

I know its out, but I have one in another, lesser build already.

Yea, I had a similar thread. 650 is more than enough. Just be sure your PSU can oull off the AMPS needed otherwise it's gana blow.

How many amps should I look out for?

I just did the same thing, and put in a second 560ti . . . only to play BF3 instead of Skyrim. I had an Ultra 650 watt PSU with 39 amps on the 12 volt rail. I decided to upgrade to a 850 watt Corsair Professional PSU. Personally, I think you will be right on the edge with that PSU. Could work, but with no margin for error.

I am not sure exactly but if i remember correctly, You need about 16 amps on nvidia sli 560 gtx setup.

so around 18-20 should be great. Check the reviews to be sure and have someone else confirm this as well. I do not want to give you wrong information. I come to this forum for advice as well.

Karma is a beee you know. lol

560 Ti=170W TDP each
2500K @ 4 GHz is probably drawing around 130-140W at most

So, yeah, a 650W should be more than enough as long as you aren't going for extreme overclocks.

Im not going for any hardcore overclock, but still kind of feel uneasy about it - should probably just sink the cash for a more powerful one just for the peace of mind.

Power isnt something to mess with in a thousand dollar system.

If you can afford something better, by all means go for it. Corsair TX750 or HX750 is a great choice that will handle up to GTX 570 SLI.

But, if you really wanted to run 560 Ti SLI with the Antec 650W, I don't think you'll have any issues at all. I know someone (RallyMaster on these forums) who is running 2500K/GTX 470 SLI on a Corsair HX650. And GTX 470s have a 215W TDP each, compared to just 170W on the 560 Ti.
