Will my CPU bottleneck my Tri Fire setup??? - Page 2

There will be a bottleneck. A stock 1100T will bottleneck THE crossfire 5970. When overclocked to 4.0 not so much anymore. With Tri-Fire there will be a bottleneck. I can't remember the review site I posted before but if I find it I will.

AND do not run that setup on that power supply!

Couldn't even if I wanted to, it doesn't have enough PCI-E connectors. I going to buy the OCZ Fatal1ty 750W. I ran the outervision cal with absolutely everything that's in my case and my CPU OC an it came back at 640W so I figure 750W should be fine. They're stock reference cards so they won't be getting OCd.

I believe the 750W may be cutting it too close.

Run this:

I got a rating of just over 800W when your CPU is overclocked a bunch like you said to 4.3.

You may get away with it but it's something to look into.

I'd stay away from OCZ power supplies unless you go for the high end ZX series. Most people here would recommend Seasonic, FSP, or some Super Flower alternative.

there will always be a bottleneck but it wont have noticeable impact.
you'll still get 60+ fps at 1080p
