Not sure if anyone already has put forward their opinions of this mouse, mine has just arrived and i wanted to share my initial views.

Basics:
Type - 5000dpi Laser Gaming Mouse
Manufactured by - Coolermaster

Good:
Highly customisable,
weights system,
Solid build
Good "Click" when you press a key
comfortable

Bad:
Some customisations seem gimicky,
Does there really need to be a small screen?

Good points Explained:
This mouse is insane. It is solid, and there is a real click when buttons are pressed, which i like. Personally i dont find it heavy, but if someone were too you can adjust the weights in the base, there are 5 4.5g weights in the bottom. Personally i have never had an issue with the weight of my mouse, but i guess there are those that do.

The suite of software you get with it is in depth, and a little intimidating in the begining. The very first screen asks if you want to optimise it for FPS or RTS, not had time to study the difference yet, but it shows that this mouse is atleast intended for the gamers market.

The mouse can contain 5 profiles, so 5 different set ups for 5 different games types. this to me is the only real reason for the fact that the mouse has a large number of available colours for the lighting system.

The lights are 2 forward facing which can be set up to change colour on click. so an added bit of confirmation?

The mouse is rather comfortable, i bought it relativley blind, i admit i hadn't properly looked into all the things i needed to take into consider before purchasing. I got lucky.

My grip is to hold the mouse between my thumb and little finger. using my index and middle for the left/wheel/right. While i admit this isnt perfect for that, it is far far faar from uncomfortable.

Bad Points Explained:
I think there may be too much customisation and some bits ust seem gimicky. Personally i have no idea why i would want my left-click button to run a macro or do something else. Admitedly that might be poor imagination on my part, but it just seems they have done it just because they can.

In the same veign there is a small screen in the palm rest, which will displayany kind of bitmap image... the sales pitch i read said a clan logo! wow... The only other function is to display the DPI of the mouse. up to a maximum of 5000.

Conclusion:
While this is my first few moments with the mouse, i must say i am impressed, i find it familiar and usable. Solid and fresh.

I am not regretting this purchase at all, it cost me £40, and there was a game included! Not bad.

i will keep this thread up to date as i progress my life with the mouse smile.gif

Enjoy.
