BF3 framedrops - Page 3

Game uses more than 1.28 GB VRAM at Ultra settings, so there your problem probably lies.
1 GB cards get massive framedrops down to ~15 when they try to use ultra.

Disable MSAA, that will free up about 200 MB and should keep you under the 1.28 GB.

I turned off HT, and it noticed it being smoother but I still get spikes down to 30-40fps then back up to the 70-80's.
Running out of vram my friend.

Surprised GTX570 owners are having this problem. Even with MSAA 4X i never go below 40fps @ 1440p. You guys are running out of Memory Possibly. Unless they fix the game somehow to use less you will have to lower some setting. MSAA is useless in MP when you want every single fps.

Gamebooster does nothing dont even bother , you should be fine with 8bg of ram ... Im running 4gb and not an issue at all .
HT definitely made the game smoother; I've made it back up to 60 FPS, for the most part. However, if there is a decent amount of smoke and/or explosions nearby, I still drop down into the 40s. I know that's not right, because when the game runs correctly, I never drop below 60, regardless of what's going on onscreen. Any other ideas?
