Bump

I mainly use linux on my laptop, so its hard to get away from my minimalist tendencies.

I really don't need to maximize my screen real estate like I do on my laptop but I do it anyway.

People are going to start booing me for posting Slax-Remix LiveCD desktops but

1) This one's a little bit funny (Command is not real but Don't try it) however Ministry plus Butthole Surfers is always a good time.

2) I LOVE this remix http://www.slax.org/forum.php?action...parentID=62815

Ubuntu 10.04

The theme is a modified version of an older default theme.

Background was shot in Northern Georgia, walking back to the car from Piggly Wiggly.

Here I haz Linux Mint 8 Gloria. The thing in the corner is a conky config I stole and modified. I tried to go for a minimalist approach.

I have turned to the K side:

Still experimenting with all the features KDE has, but so far I'm happy with the useability and the general polish.

Just need to find a decent dock now

PCLinuxOS Kernel 2.6.33.5-bfs
KDE 4.4.5 Desktop

WOW, Linux sure has grown up! I haven't used linux in over 10 yrs

I've been buried in conky for the last 4 days solid and finally figured it out. The original code is scavenged from various config files at ubuntuforums.org but the rest is customized by me. So far I really like it a lot.

Arch with gnome. Simple, but efficient.

I ran linux 2 years ago for a long while, I loved it and fondly remember it. Even if it was just Ubuntu.

Good times.

Although I do have a Pentium 4 rig that needs some loving, the same rig it was originally on.
