Rookie1337: Since you have meego and opensuse have you tried the smeegol (suse+meego) spin? I used it a while back it was a little rough but that was quite a while ago. It was pretty nice though.

Yeah I've tried it. It just felt really bloated compared to MeeGo. And I know it's sad, but the damn horizontal scroll option with the touch pad never worked and it pissed me off. Oh, and they made it impossible to use evolution without having an email account. That annoyed me to no end. I liked not having to be online to get to my damn calendar. Smeegol would be nice if it made up its mind on which distro is the main base for it. They had two sound servers along with other duplicate things that made no sense. Right now I'm most interested in when the next version of "petite" comes out because it has E17 and I've heard great things about enlightenment.

Don't ask. I've screwed things up the last time when I was trying to create global hotkeys because MeeGo has a very limited set built in and so I had somehow screwed things up pretty bad. This time I forgot I hadn't messed things up yet. Habits.

I can't even install audacious right now. Keep getting errors and since it's my school computer I'm nervous to screw it up again with finals coming in a week or two.

decided to post an update of my setup.

ditched pypanel and went back to tint2, replaced xcompmgr with cairo-compmgr and wrote a bash script and conky config to display my battery life in text as part of my background.

edit: just went back to xcompmgr, too many issues with cairo, too slow on system.

the text in the screenshot is actually my remaining time until charged, since it makes no distinction.

edit2: replaced the screenshot with my NOW COMPLETED setup.

tint2 theme combines panel with pager, which is awesome.
trimmed the openbox menu down to only applications I launch directly (and not through file associations), and set up tint to pass right clicks to the wm as long as the space is blank.

Pretty cool, pretty cool.

Got my Arch all set up now. Going to start messing with gnome3 soon, but here's v2 for now:

X11/Gnomev2/compiz ... still working on SCII!

Interesting Icons. I feel like you turned the Desktop folder into a dock. About the best use I would find for it.

So that's what shell looks like? I think I like it better than what came before. I always thought Gnome was kind of ugly and drab but this one looks somewhat decent.

Off topic: LOL I'm in that screenshot.
