I need to start searching through conky configs, to see if there are any bits I'd like to pull out and use on mine.

Yeah...not going to lie but it seems like Linux to Windows...Conky is ignored in favor of the windows Rainmeter. After using both I do kind of wonder if there is any way to make conky as "easy" to edit or get as many different configs. Also, I'd love for Conky to work better with KDE; or some way to dump conky into a plasmoid.

These are all pretty neat conkys. Conky is probably my favorite package on Linux so far haha, I'm a nerd for CPU percentages, temperatures, graphs, and numbers.

Got my conky to a config that is reasonable. Just need to figure out how to read/print GPU clock speeds, temperatures, and fan speeds.

Here's what I have so far.

I actually use conky more than any of the other monitor programs. If my computer seems sluggish, go to desktop and look at conky. If I'm temp curious, go to desktop and look at conky. if I've got low space... well you know how it goes. it's really nice to have right there.

Here's what I have so far.

I think you need "lua" which is some kind of additional program IIRC or maybe a grep/cat call (LOL) to the directory where the GPU info can be read from? I just wish I didn't have to install "feh" along with a texeci command to get Conky to play nicely with KDE. Then again I'm seeing if I can get my friend that got me into Linux to make a work around that will allow conky to be handled by or converted to a plasmoid. It's just sad that he's kind of given up on Linux now that he has a job.

Yes DWM is a tiling WM, but also has float support hence the name Dynamic Window Manager.

Neato...I'll have to look into it compared to openbox then for working with LXDE in case I can't get E17 anymore. I'm just sad that tiling with KDE is still kind of bad. Then again...it has some other features that kind of make tiling besides "side-by-side" (which it handles fine) not that important. But man, using Windows is a pain now.
