I love bash scripting but I'm starting to hit some limitations of what I'm trying to do with it. At this point I want to branch out to perl or python and broaden my horizons. I've been working on a pretty in depth word list creation suite that getting close to 1mb and who knows how many lines of script that included over 60 word list and wifi attack tools for BT5 and now I want to get even more indepth with it and find out the capabilities of another language.

Been a very long time since ive posted a linux desktop. This is very minimal. but a lot more powerful then ya think. this is the primary display. on the secondary display is a full screen windows VM.

Mine. Obviously KDE4, on Arch. Like the distro because no matter what you do, you can always make it work again.

You mean those CPU-related widgets? I wrote them myself within an hour or so, they are nothing but frontends for plasma's system datengine and some shell scripts I wrote. If you like to have them as well, just ask, but i can't guarantee they work. I didn't really want to learn all python KDE/System APIs, so it's quite ugly code.

Heck yes I'd love to see them. I can't seem to write from scratch to save my life but I seem to scrap by pretty good from modding other's stuff if it's OK with you.

PS: How did you get CPU/system power governors working again? KDE scrapped them in 4.6 I think and even something like Jupiter doesn't work in KDE anymore.

Get rid of unity/gnome and install "xubuntu-desktop". Then set your terminal appearances to 50% transparency, same with your panel. Get a background of choice and then a start icon of choice, pretty simple biggrin.gif
