PS: Did transhour say he would be able to add choices to the poll or are we stuck with the outdated choices? I want to vote for KDE, LXDE, XFCE, E17.
Final PS...if you have two DEs installed does the one that you first installed get the preference on program configurations because LibreOffice and some other programs I use don't work to well visually in KDE (as in sometimes parts just black out) on my Bodhi install but they look/work visually just fine in E17.

I was able to unlock the poll but atm, am not able to remove or add choices to it. PM'ed the OP to ask to take ownership of this thread, gonna wait a few more days, then i'm gonna take owner ship of it, might need to redo the poll.

No, they are very different.

I'm interested to see how many people use Gnome 3.

Forgot lxde tongue.gif

And there's enough of a difference between gnome 2 / 3 to warrant 2 options in my opinion. As their are still tons of people clinging to it ( such as the Mate fork ). And cinnamon is also significantly different from it's brothers and will evolve in much it's own away from Gnome 3 shell. Same as Unity is going a different path than the previous 3.

But there are other DE's and WM's that are mere duplicates of those that they're based on, which would be a bit redundant to list them all.

Might as well throw XFCE and any other GTK+ based DE/WM under your Gnome list too then.

Or is it the other way around, I believe XFCE came out first and Gnome was based on it...

I'll agree to disagree. Transhour can decide for the poll. As long as everyone fits into something, I guess. I dougt there are many non debian users using gnome 2 still, though.
