So that's Raspbian huh? It looks slick! I wound up with a Model B recently when a clerk insisted I take home a Pi but don't have time to mess with it until December. What are you gonna use yours for? I've seen some strange projects like a mini arcade gaming machine, personally I plan to hook up a coffee maker via the GPIO pins so I can SSH to the Pi remotely and have it start brewing a cup while I'm still on my way home biggrin.gif Oh yeah, there's an Arch distro for the Pi. FSCK YEA!

That's the best I can do with no mouse in a graphical interface.

What a coincidence! I'm loading up my Raspberry Pi as we speak! tongue.gif

I bought a little wireless keyboard/mouse combo thing today, I'm excited to see how it works.

It's Ubuntu based, and the image is live.

It's built directly on-top of Ubuntu 12.04. The open source Radeon driver is fantastic and built into the kernel.

What combo did you bought, I need to look for one too... only have 1 mouse and 1 usb keyboard (need to use my old dome ps2 keyboard on my main computer).

I don't really know what I will do with it for now. I don't know much about hardware (not in this way at least) and linux, I shall learn with time. Maybe I will look for the Raspberry Pi user manual.

I just went and grabbed some GearHead keyboard/touchpad wireless combo thing:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823217019&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-NA-_-NA
Cheap and quick at my local Fry's.

Was plug and play, haven't had any issues yet. It's just barely big enough to type somewhat normally, but its very tight. If you want to do a lot of work in the console, I recommend enabling the SSH server on the Raspberry Pi (run raspi-config from the terminal) and then use something like Putty to access it over your network.

I learn best by goofing with things... For instance...
I'm learning a lot about kernel modules and drivers right now trying to get this USB WiFi device working. It sees the USB device under lsusb, but I can't get the rtl8192cu module to load...
Code:
ERROR: could not insert 'rtl8192cu': Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

I've always goofed with the surface of Linux, but have never delved very deep. I can't wait for the brilliant minds to release the hardware accelerated Android port for this thing. That will make this a truly useful device!

Next (once I've figured this stupid problem out) I want to figure out how to use the pinouts on the board to manipulate things like LED's and perhaps LCD screens. Fun little device, but you have to do a lot of reading... redface.gif

Well after a lot of trial an error the graphical glitches are gone ( all of them) and the performance is Awesome.. better than on Windows 7 which is installed on the same rig (dual boot).. it makes Windows 7 feel slow if you can believe that. I have most of my Games on steam working Just as good or better than on windows 7 (Both Source based and none Source based) and most of my non steam games working as well.
One of my other machines is part of the Steam beta and all is running well there too smile.gif

thanks for the reply.. im going to install wine on my mint 14 o/s could you offer up some tips for mw3 to run smooth

Install yaourt ( how to in my guide ) and run " yaourt -S ttf-ms-fonts " so websites look a bit more proper tongue.gif

Although they've been marked as legacy now for win7-fonts/win8-fonts
