Although they've been marked as legacy now for win7-fonts/win8-fonts
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MS_Fonts

I thought you could just change the font settings in the web browser. No need to for MS fonts as I'm running mine with Ubuntu or Nimbus Roman font just fine. Plus, Times New Roman and Arial look funny on Linux for some reason. I do wish websites updated things though. Default sizes are unbearbale on a screen past 1280x720. I hate how programs/pages have super tiny font by default.

Pages are designed with certain fonts, changing the fonts changes the experience. And ubuntu comes with xft and pango fonts by default. Arch only comes with x fonts, and not many.

And ms fonts look fine when set up right.

Have you thought of adding that to the guide?. That's infinitely helpful, now to find out how to get spell check to work.

It's called archey. It was posted much earlier in the thread as seen in the post below.

for ubuntu and debian based systems. other wise, for scrennfetch its just a script, copy paste chmod -x and run ~/.screenfetch or where ever you want to put it. for archey, well I actually wouldn't know what to do because I have 0 experience or knowledge around python (I know, I know, but most of what I have been focusing on learning has been java or C++)

There's also a fun pipes script someone posted around that entry as well.

It's a Python script called archey. It's in the AUR, and there are some binaries available on Github for other distributions. You can add the command to your .bashrc to have it run when you open a terminal.

I spend a lot of time on my computer, that font you are using is horrendous, it would drive me insane ( i think it is one the biggest reasons i stick with ubuntu, beautiful fonts :))

Its all in the config, and isnt difficult.

And monospaced x fonts are beautiful, easy on the eyes ( no blur from the antialias ), and makes reading long jumbled code easy. tongue.gif
