Well...... ... I guess they are an HD series and DX 10. I hear talk my HD4850 just got lifted from Legacy and still recives updates every now and then, which explains why new driver version kept popping up after i was told they wouldn't.
I guess i'm still kind of dodging the question, guess i should say they are still modern to me because of them being an HD series and DX 10 and further more that being all i could afford and .. words and i can't say ... and.. i guess you make a good point.
At least on the other hand, the general rule of thumb was the Nivida drivers are more optimized on the linux side so i don't have to feel bad putting a GTX570 in My core 2 multi boot machine ... i said SO I DON'T HAVE TO FEEL BAD.
Oh well if all else fails maybe i can switch my rigs's GPUs around or replace my 4850s when i have money (and give to some one who still uses an 8800gt).
