You should be able to format the partition as swap either on installation or after (there's another command for that which I don't remember as well), and then issue the swapon command. You'll be accessing the disk as /dev/sdaX (or maybe sdb or sdc - whatever the appropriate disk is on your system, and where X is the number belonging to the swap partition).

This is why I use plain old Arch and use the CLI to install. GUI and ncurses installs tend to break fairly often for some reason.

Just install without swap for now ( leave your partition ) and enable it later.

Also, another thing I've seen fairly often, make sure you actually write (save ) your changes after editting tables in cfdisk. If you added it without writing the changes then that could be why it isn't showing up.

I know the sdxy but the problem is it doesn't recognize the SWAP partition at all for some reason :/,I just deleted all the Linux partitions and recreated them and they are:sda3(root),sda5(home),sda6(swap0) but when I try to tell it which partition is what it only displays me 3 partitions in the installation menue to work with:sda1,sda2,sda3 mad.gif

I don't know what's wrong mad.gif

Just install without swap for now and enable it later.

Even the original Arch installation had the same problem while using CLI,for some reason it doesn't want to recognize the swap partition mad.gif

I'm not familiar with archbang but you should be able to do
Code:
mkswap /dev/sda4
after install followed by
Code:
swapon /dev/sda4

then just add a line to /etc/fstab like this:
Code:
/dev/sda4 none swap defaults 0 0
