Topre keyboard in Chicago

Thread Starter
Hey guys just wondering if anyone here on the forums with a topre keyboard lives in the Chicago area. Reason being I am considering getting one but I want to at least type a couple words on it to see how it feels before taking the plunge.

Help a fellow overclocker out here!

I'm from Chicago- but I don't even have a mechanical yet, let alone a Topre! I can ask around, but most people I know use their scissors on their laptops.

I'd just get an old IBM model M off fleaBay. I use a Unicomp Customizer 101 for work and a Logitech Illuminated for gaming as I find it easier on my hands.

Aw, why are you going straight to topre's, that ruins half the fun of discovering what switch type you like best!

Sorry I'm a NY'er, and the whole mech keyboard thing has destroyed my wallet enough that I can't afford a Topre.

Good Luck!

Wish I could help, but I'm in LA. Also, is there a certain weight you want to try? Variable, 45 or 55g?

Honestly, I'd just dive into getting one. Chances are you're going to love it. If not, resell value is not bad at all.
