Headphones with separate Amps?

Thread Starter
ive been reading a lot about headphones and the such and there are some that are recommended to be used with amps. now that i have my Titanium HD working correctly im moving on to the next stage... Headphones.

im still undecided between AD700s and S HD555s. i dont want to spent over 250 MAX. i will most likely use them for games but a little bass (not too much) is important to me too! educate me

i was also looking at the 990dt from Bey something or other. ive read that an external amp to drive them does wonders...

the Titanium HD has no headphone AMP , but can power up to 330ohms headphones/headsets

so the AD700 are 39 ohms , the 555 are 50 ohms , (usually all sub150$ headphones dose not need AMP)

how do the ATH M50 compare?

A700s are phenomenal for the price. I'd assume that they'd be perfect for you based on the sound you describe. They are pretty great for gaming too!!
