I am really thinking that 2gb GTX 460 would work very nicely with BF3 as I heard BF3 can take around 1.5gb vram. So what do you guys think?

The GTX 560 Ti is noticeably faster than a GTX 460. Here's a comparison. Personally, I'd go with the 560 Ti. If you're not 100% set on Nvidia, the 6950 has 2GB of VRAM and is on par with/slightly faster than a 560 Ti and can be found for ~$250.

Get a 460 if your not gaming in 1080p, will save you money you can save towards a 6 or even 7 series card when they come out.

Thats what I am doing. I only game on 1024x768 right now cuz my 21" monitor broke so i can max the game out on ultra with 65+fps. But once I get my 21" back i will have to get a second 460 to SLI so i can Run High settings. Way cheaper to just spend 150 bucks now for the satisfaction, that way i can save up for the 6 series and just pick up a 680 when they come out, if thats even what they will be called but duno basically their high end 6 ser

For what it's worth, I'm running a GTX 460 768mb for BF3 @ 1680x1050 with everything on high settings, no AA (post AA to high), and SSAO instead of HBAO. Vsync on and it rarely strays from 60FPS.

It's also worth mentioning that the card is overclocked to 900mhz.

I have however owned some GTX560 Ti's and can confirm that it's a considerable step up from a GTX460... it might be worth saving a few more dollars and going with a Ti model.

Go 560 ti. My friend got one and it's benchs are pushing even my SLI 460's. Granted my 460's are the low end with only 768 ram.....

Hell I run 2xgtx460se's 1gb overclocked from 645mhz to 915/1830/2100 (dx11 games, 952mhz everything else) and I run everything maxed on bf3@1768x960 (or whatever resolution is just under 1080p due to mouse sync issues) and I maintain 60-80 fps upwards of 100+ when just roaming around, lowest I've had it dip down to was 35-37 fps during some real heavy fighting.
cards were cheap, and overclock like beasts on stock cooling. temps get to @56-58c max playing bf3 so far. even benching they never get above 70c,

I am running at 1680x1050.

Also, if you notice, the GTX 460 has 2GB VRAM while the GTX 560 ti only has 1gb. I imagine that extra 1gb VRAM works much better in BF3.

I don't even think I will be able to get the TwinFrozer 560 ti because $240 is a bit expensive for me. $200 is just around my pricerange.

So then the 2gb gtx 460 would be a better option? I was also thinking, in the far, far future I probably am going to SLI. Many say that 2gb GTX 460 SLI is better than a $500 card.
