Weird display issue

Thread Starter
I have crossfire 6970s. In order to play BF3 I wiped drivers and installed preview with cap4. Everything is great except one thing. I'm having the weirdest display problem ever with my dual monitor setup.

My left side (main) monitor is a Samsung SM B2330 and the right sight (secondary) monitor is a Samsung SM 2233. This setup has never given me problems before. After this last CCC install though, whenever a program tries to set the main monitor side to a lower resolution, the display goes blank and says it's "Not optimal resolution, set for 1920x1080" or something to that effect. Just blacks out. This happened first when trying to run 3DMark 11 in Performance mode. As soon as it moved to full screen above problem happened. I hit escape, it cycled back to 1080 and voila, back to normal. I thought it might just be the program but while playing BF3 I tried to set a key to a different action and when I hit apply it did the same thing, I'm assuming because it tried to change resolutions or something, I have no idea. Anyway, the really weird part is that if I switch the main display to the monitor on the other side, it works... Normally I'd just switch the monitors around but the main is just slightly bigger so I want it to still be the main, plus I really don't like the implications of this issue... Anyway, has anyone seen anything like this before? It's really got me stumped.

Uninstall Catalyst Drivers and CAP.

Clean it with Atiman Uninstaller v.6.0.0.msi. Download LINK (Run it with administrator privilege. Some antivirus software will give a false positive. Let it restarts to complete the uninstallation).

Install Catalyst 11.9 + CAP4

Make sure refresh rate and resolution set correctly in Windows screen and resolution.
