What drivers to use with bf3? - Page 2

Wait for 11.10 final on the 31st and the latest CAP

For now I'm using 11.9 + CAP1 with some pretty bad frames but it's not a big deal since the WHQL release of 10.11 is next Monday.

Can anyone shed some light on the recommended drivers for NON-CF users? All I see are people having problems with crossfire 6950 or crossfire 6970 etc but my game still crashes periodically using 11.9 cap 4 and 11.10!

Sometimes I can play 3-4 games in a row with nothing happening, then other times my game will crash after 5 minutes into a game 5 games in a row

Honestly, it says to use 11.7 or higher, but I found that the 11.6 release is most stable for me. Smooth as butter and no crashes. This is on my 5870.

BF3 runs very smooth and stable.
Yeah with crossfire 6990's why would you ever need the benefit of additional frame from CAPS. lol Damn you and your monster GPU's. LOL

Well right from the start you don't use caps if your not running crossfire setup so loose those. I would try one of the preview drivers or just wait for 11.10 official on the 31st.

I am only running 11.9 with no Hyperthreading and it is fine. I am not going to run any preview drivers since everyone of them in the past has caused issues for me. I get solid 40-60fps with all ultra settings with no MSAA in eyefinity. 60-80fps+ in single monitor mode with 4xMSAA all ultra.

Exactly what i'm getting framerate wise. Nice to know that that 2600k isn't doing any better then my 955. Everyone thinks that the 955 is a big huge bottleneck at all resolutions but with eyefinity these two CPU's perform virtually identically.

No, they are solely for multiple cards.
