[MP1st] Battlefield 3 – Incoming Fixes and Patch Confirmed - Page 5

I wonder how much support and updates EA will give out for BF3 and for HOW long... they won't be another Valve but hopefully a good two years at least.

It's quite rampant already. Just check the leaderboards. The top person had like 12,000 kills and 8 deaths. The artificialaiming cheat site even has a platoon up with 49+ members.

I just leave the server when I notice someone cheating anymore. I'm not masochistic enough to stay.

I personally like the battlelog. It keeps me browsing and playing at the same time. Its very good implementation but sadly we even have to do it for single player. What if the server is down. Maybe pirate's crack would help

I give it not long until that Origin account is banned and someone just wasted their money.

Wireshark it. A normal game requires about 2.5 to 5 k upwards of 10k a second worth of communications ability to sync client to server all depending on how many players are on screen at a time. Mobs don't count.
I'm guessing Origin is passing around a good triple that amount with all the snooping. You have to learn all the protocols though and be able to figure out what is just normal background noise and not add that.
I bet they are using 3 different network authentications for pc xbox and ps/3 and passing every one of them to every box.

At least they are actively fixing it. Can't always get perfection on launch, or else you'll get a Duke Nukem.

What ever it is, raw input is being masked by the game and changing "raw input" options do nothing.

I spent about 2 hours last night trying Windows mouse settings, Set Point settings, DPI settings and BF3 mouse settings trying to work around it. If anything this has been my biggest problem with the game. I ended up turning the mouse speed in Windows down to 1, the acceleration in SP to 3, and BF3 mouse sensitivity to quarter up. I can still feel the limit but it's much less apparent.
Its the same on PS3 for me. The beta felt great. Start of the full version and its all over the shop. So frustrating. There is no constant with the sensitivity. starts off fast then goes slow. or starts of slow then goes fast. It makes playing difficult fo the most part
