Need help with overclocking

Thread Starter
Hey im trying to get my computer to work a bit faster for gaming until i can buy a new Processor which would be 2-3 months from now and I was wondering if overclocking my current from 2.0 to around 2.5-2.7 would be safe

if someone can help me that would be greatly appreciated

Specs:

Laptop
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual-Core M300 2.00 Ghz
Memory: 3.00 (on 64 bit)

for some reason Everest says my motherboard is unknown any idea how it can be discovered or something?

Download the latest version of CPU-Z to find the specs on your rig. Then fill in the system profile in the user cp section to give the rest of us (and you) an idea on what we're dealing with.

You have a very limited BIOS, it's not designed for overclocking, mainly because laptop CPUs have marginal cooling and the M300s run pretty hot as it is. I would not recommend overclocking even if you can manage it without voltage options.
