Blackwidow Ultimate woes... RMA round 2

First Blackwidow Ultimate I received worked perfectly for three weeks until some of the LEDS under the keys died. Decided to RMA on the principle of something not failing after three weeks.

New Blackwidow Ultimate that I received today... Backspace, enter, and the right shift all stick. They don't make a clean "click" as they require an unusual amount of force to press down.

Will have to RMA this one. Hope newegg will understand. Wish I could return it, but I don't think I can because it came bundled with something which came for free.

Just so disappointed in the build quality of these keyboards. I love the design, but the quality control blows.

I would just return it and buy a Leopold or a Filco. I have a Black Widow and I know that some people have lost their warranties from removing the keys and greasing them so they dont stick. They wouldnt let me RMA mine after the little rubber gromets that stop the keyboard from sliding fell off. Not sure on Filco/Leopolds return policy, but I think the build quality is MUCH better than Razers.

I say return it. The biggest issue is just the build quality and their customer service. There is going to be more choices that will be widely available from Corsair, Azio, and Coolermaster offering some cool mech keyboards.

I had the same problem with the number 1 key sticking seems that the key had extra plastic on the bottom and was catching on the bottom of the keys casing. So i shaved off the extra plastic and walla no more sticky.

Razor products are all made like this. They have terrible QC and their products are about as cheap as they come with a ridiculous price markup. Every single razor product i've owned has failed within a month or two or had terrible design flaws like stiff keys etc. Every person that i know that has owned a razor product has had the same experience.

Like someone said above. return it and go with a quality mechanical keyboard like rosewill or Leopold if you want a inexpensive mechanical keyboard. If you absolutely must have led lights on a mech keyboard get the new Ducky Shine or one of the backlit Deck.

Yeah, I'm definitely never buying Razer again. The only problem is that I like how the keyboard looks. I'd want blues or browns if I ever replaced it.

That's a shame everyone is having such a horrible experience with Razer. A friend of mine just purchased a BW keyboard with a discount and he's all excited about it. I hope his doesn't come with any issues.

The BW was my first mechanical keyboard and after I went through 3 in a month I decided to change brands. Now I have a Leopold with brown switches and I have not had a single problem.
