Amazon had a special in the US where the preorder was $49.98 USD.

Probably the lowest it will be until March.

I agree it would be nice if it were in game but this way i can multiple task and compare multiple things with the browser such as weapons unlocks for multple things without having to keep jumping back and forth. and more.

The web based launcher doesn't actually do anything to impact game play. No like seriously it doesn't so I'm ok with it. Plus it allows me to do what everything i would want from any computer minus playing the game without the need to download anything. I find it very flexible compared to other interfaces. So I see nothing wrong with the webbased browser.

Plus I don't have to sit through the EA games, DICE, Dobly Digital, and what ever sponsors every time i load up the game so thats a nice change compare
to some games like gears of war that force you to sit through it every single time.

As for those who complain about the game having origin. ORIGIN DOES NOTHING SPECIAL EXCEPT KEEP A LIST OF YOUR FRIENDS AND TRACKS YOUR GAMES PURCHASED. Just go to the battlelog site via bookmark, origin, or clicking the EXE, enter a game and everything is taken care of for yyou regards to origin.

I like the organization better compared to steam. Right now the only advantage steam has over origin is the fact that they post gaming new relevant to that game and game selection even though soon enough that won't be an issue if devs hop on to origin.

Bought it $47.24 USD muhahahaha (including $2.25 canadian tax sale).

On topic, it's a great number congratulations. And it's worth it imho (at least on PC).

Because the world runs on EST?

...and GameServers.com is the only ranked provider?

Oh I doubt that. I'm sure they are farming this out to dozens of places.
Plus I bet there's a lot of people who are just playing it on their own with the leaked server code.

But the xbox stuff is a nuclear wasteland. They can get people on there but it's linkdead new victim linkdead new victim linkdead.

EA forced microsoft to NOT provide severs to distribute their games. And microsoft loves to play around with networks so they are probably doing something really weird with network authentication that is messing up the servers which are probaly linux boxes running the game as perl scripts or something along those lines. At least it's not highly itemized and needing massive database entries. But server code is usually slow scripting code.

They obviously made a lot of xbox sales because those guys are a hornets nest.
