New Monitors for Eyefinity Set-up

Thread Starter
I'm looking to add 2 more monitors to my current ASUS 23" VH236H monitor for an eyefinity set up.

I was going to just get 2 more of the same monitor, but for the same price as the VH236H I can get a VH238H that has an LED backlight.

Or my other choice for new monitors would be getting 2 VE247H monitors. The VE247H monitor is a 23.6" with an LED backlight and would be ~$40 cheaper than the VH236H & VH238H monitors.

My main concerns with pairing up different monitors is:
- Will the LED backlit monitors colors/brightness/contrast be very different from my current non LED Backlit monitor and look awkward. (I'm sure calibrating the screens could help)
- Will 2 23.6" monitors on the side of a 23" monitor look awkward and not "flow" together.

I just dont want to make the wrong desicion with these monitors and have an Eyefinity set up that looks terrible or like crap physically because they are not the same size. (Both monitors do look the same physically such as the bezels and actualy dimensions)

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated as I'm looking to order something within the next 7 days
Thanks,
Dave

Personally, I'd recommend getting the same monitors if you can. Even with a .6" difference for the monitors, the resolution (1920x1080p I presume) will looked stretched (albeit slightly). I guess it depends on how picky you are with pixel density and whatnot.

I made this mistake when I bought the second monitor to my first AL2216W. Even thought it was an identical monitor, the backlight had a more blue hue (the first had a more warm hue).

Definitely get the same monitors as you already have.

Trying to get LED backlit to look the same as your own will be all but impossible.

I guess I will just wait for the VH236H's to go on sale again and get 3 of the same monitor.

Thanks for the tips guys.
