I am looking for a new version to buy, but can only find OEM ones (1PC) for sale for about £70. what is a NOT OEM version? how many times do you get to reinstall those one? after all my MoBo could expire again at any time.
I will also need a new version of MS Office 2007, another £100. all because the mobo died !!!
i need some serious guidance here to avoid spending too much if i don't need to. any help appreciated.

Russell.
Retail can be re-activated many times and if for some reason they crap out on you after mutilple installs, call MS and they'll figure it out for you.

If you have retail MS Office then all you need is to keep the product key somewhere safe. Also you might need to acquire the installer for it.

do you have a laptop or consumer grade computer that came pre-installed with it? if so you can jack the product key off that if its the same version and bit and activate it with the phone activation service. didnt pay a cent for my copy cuz i used my parents laptop key.
