I purchased two open box Planar 27" monitors from newegg and they arrived yesterday. They both appeared to be brand new. One of the monitors has no dead or stuck pixels but the second has one dead pixel which is black and one stuck pixel which is blue. These monitors look absolutely fantastic but I'm not sure if I should keep the second monitor. I always end up reselling my components so this will most definitely hurt the value.

What would you guys do?

return it and just use 1 until you have money for 3 if your a gamer or another of the same monitor

Pretty sure you need like 5 or more dead pixels to return a monitor.

I am a gamer but don't play on gaming across three monitors any time soon (due to the GPU cost to power them). If I return it chances are I won't get another one because these only come in stock once every few months.

Fatalrip - Newegg has a 30 day return policy on open box items.

Return it. That would drive me crazy.

Even though a stuck pixel is easily passable. I would find myself staring at it for hours, so I say return it.

No pics.

The monitor is all packed up and ready to be returned early tomorrow morning. I'm gonna miss it but I think one 27" may actually be enough.
