I play bf3 with the qx9650 it works great maxed out all settings anti aliasing at X2 rather than 4, If u hit up ebay u can find a server pull for around 200 bucks maybe cheaper

any board can oc unless its locked but its your cooling.. if your going stock cooling maybe you'll get 100-400mhz but not much from stock cooling

Well first is it sli? your board has the same chipset as mine and basically the same specs, i am having problems overclocking but i am new, Supposedly the 750i boards don't fare well with quad core cpu's

But i am new.

simply putt the qx9650 is the fastest stock cpu for the 775 socket.

Ya I'm gonna be getting a new cooling soon, the 9650 seems to be very expensive... theres a huge gap 300 - 1000??

EBAY.

They retail for $1000 but U can get them anywhere from 180 to 250 dollars on eBay, they are mostly pulled from servers, I would not recommend buying one that wasn't a server pull but a private home used one because they could have been overclocking it

The server pulls are great I use one they have been used allot but not heavily

Usually they only have a max load of about 12%

and its "QX9650" im speaking of not the standard q9650

yea, 750i's are not great for quads but they will OC some....the 780i is prettty damn decent... Personally, I would OC that Q8200 you have and save for a sandy or ivy upgrade.

As long as you have a decent video card and a quad core cpu you should be fine.

I would find a good buy on a Q9550 or Q9650.
