Anyone Care To Review My Build?

Thread Starter
So this is my first post here, but not my first time here. If this is the wrong place for this... my bad blame it on my noobism.

Basically, review my build please! It's my first build and I will be using it for playing lots of games and some video editing (nothing huge and not too much) and I want to overclock it ^_^

The main reason I'm posting this is because I don't trust myself and i probably did something stupid like put an 1155 in a 1366 board lol I didn't I checked!

Case:

Nice build!

Only thing I would probably change is switch the SSD to a Crucial M4.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148441

One of the most reliable SSDs on the market currently. The problem/failure ratio with OCZ SSDs is pretty high compared to other brands. But still, That is going to be one smokin' setup!

You could save some cash on the power supply and with this one instead. Phaedus' PSU Calc recommends it when I put in your system specs. That and it's made by the same company (Corsair just re-brands it).

You can also get some lower latency ram for the same price too

Everything looks great in this build and there is nothing wrong with any of the parts you selected. I think there is just more value to be had for the price. Good luck with the build (just ordered my parts today too).

Thanks for the feedback so far! I shall look into the ssd and psu. And I found a few combo deals so I believe with shipping its around $1650 just so you know! Also thank you for not ripping me to shreds either ^_^

What RAM are you suggesting because you put the link to the power supply twice

Switch the 570 to....

Either get the 570 non-HD version, because it has better cooling with the fan placed in the back and it also does not dump heat in your case as much as the HD one.:

OR

If you want to overclock really good without blowing your VRMS, get the classified, as it has VRMs just like the 570 has. It is only a measily $20 more... really wish I had this one:

Are you going to use all the features of the Z68 board like SSD caching, Quicksync, and the integrated graphics? If not get a P67. ASRock Fatal1ty P67 if you only plan to use one graphics card. Another good one is the Asus Sabertooth P67 gives you SLI and Crossfire capabilities. Just a thought....

That's going to be a nice build. Only a couple of things I suggest. I think you should use a Crucial M4 as a SSD instead of the OCZ and I recommend OCZ power supplies, and if you got a different one, you wouldn't have to pay as much or you could get a higher wattage for future SLI maybe? Otherwise, good job picking parts.
