Would this fan be any good?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Cooler+M...=1218395180062

I have a 25 dollar bestbuy giftcard I've been trying to spend and these would work out perfectly.

EDIT: Did some searching and it appears these are a solid option.

Well I mounted a 120mm in the very front, then comes the corsair h60 fan, then comes the radiator, and its still very hot. Topping out at 75C right now. At this point I can reapply thermal paste and upgrade the fans but it's not looking good.

alright I reapplied paste, still getting up to 74. Fans are my last hope.

Anyone have any thoughts on which side the fan should currently be on?

Also, if I was to do push/pull, is there a grate or something I could get to protect the inner fan?

Thanks

Looks like you already tried getting the thing some nice cool air, the h50/60 really don't do well on warm ambient.

I saw an 11c difference from back to front.

Are you sure the pump is turning full speed? 1400rpm is what it should run at.

How do I check the speed of the pump?

I reduced my vcore down to 1.325 (though it's showing as 1.34-1.35 in cpuz) and bumped it up to 4ghz, i'm seeing a max of 74 now after about 10 minutes.

Edit: bumped the vcore up to 1.31 because I got an prime95 error. Since the pump is only a 3pin, how would it tell me the speed it's running at?

Plugging your pump into the mobo IS the problem.
The pump should ALWAYS be running 100%

Get a 3pin to molex adapter and give that pump the juice it needs! lol.
You will see a serious temp drop the minute you do this, regardless of where you put the radiator. However, putting it up front does look pretty damn cool

^ what he said

get matching fans fore your push/pull. also for an h50(1st version) my temps are good. 1.38 vcore is a lot on the 9 series i7s.

Plugging the H60 into the mobo is dangerous, you have to set your fan profile to be 100%, sometimes you can do that through the bios, or if you have a monitoring program installed you can set that one fan to 100%,

Download HWmonitor to see what speed things are moving at.

Done and done. (Keeping a stockpile of misc computer parts is the only way to fly). Temps are looking about the same though. Topping out ~75C

Next up is matching push/pull and a fan grate for the interior fan though I'm not thrilled about dropping another 30+ on this...

The push pull is not going to net you incredible gains, unless you are using a powerful fan set. I was running p/p and only saw 1c at load, and I can't really rely on that number because the ambient temps play more of a role than airflow over the radiator.
