Question about Power Supply with new Toxic 6950 I just bought - Page 2

You need a adapter. They're like $5 for a 6 pin to 8 pin or almost any OCNer could dig up a two molex to one eight pin adapter. You should have one of those with your Toxic 6950.

So you should have more than one 4 pin connector on a cable you plug into the slot marked 4PIN(IDE). Use two connectors on one cable to connect to the two molex to one 8 pin PCIE adaptor cable you received with your Sapphire Toxic 6950 and you're good to go. No need to buy anything, you already have everything you need.

I like this answer best. I didn't know it comes with adapter. i will wait for it to arrive. Thanks guys...

Will this 6950 be able to run BF3 in 1600x1200 in ultra just fine? - I just have a 22inch Viewsonic as I have not bought a LCD yet because I love this monitor sooo much... Thanks...

Check if your PSU has extra 2 4-pin molex for the adapter. If it has, nothing to worry about. But looking at your PSU in the screen shot in above post above, it has no extra 4-pin molex to 8-pin PCIe adapter.

Good lucks.

Just for grins I ran a quick check based on your sig rig settings and you should have plenty of head room on your PSU. Looks to me like you're good to go on this upgrade.
