When you want to buy a cpu for gaming one of the most important things is IPC. Sandy Bridge and SB-E will have an almost identical IPC. The i7 3930K is a waste of money for games however if you wish to waste your money be my guest
its 200 bucks more for 2 more cores. not that big of a price hike guy.

But he won't do that cause it's old news, he wants to mingle with the cool kids with the up to date stuffz, just like his GPU...oh wait

Then you need to remove the line that says "don't wanna spend any more than I have too"

Go for it, top choice.

yeah, nothing wrong with that, it's just the fact that its kind of wasted money if you buy something you wont really need / fully utilize.
But if you're fine with that then go for the 3930k.

It did suck so bad, hense why i sold it. Just haven't got round to updating my sig, cause I like the epeen.

Edit - back ON TOPIC, don't know why my rig had anything to do with anything, totally different reasons for buying.

You're obviouslly gonna get the 6core so go ahead, won't be a bad choice, won't be a good choice either but it's your money, do as you please.
