Hyperthreading helps with BF3, but only because it was coded that way ...

can i get feedback on the video card? im looking for one with a good amount of VRAM since most graphic intesive mods EAT that UP! I thought about 560tis in sli but then id be dealing with heat AND games that dont like sli .. however, for those of you who run sli might be able to chime in and say its worth it anyway.. can I just dial the card back a little and keep the high ram without getting it from a sli config? like a 560/570 2-3gb? will i notice a difference? 5-8 frames may not seem like a lot but if i can only net 30 at MAX settings then 5-8 frames is everything

Never be afraid to look into those combo deals!

There's a 580 from Gigabyte that has a better cooler, 3GB vram, for 40$ less.

And two 2GB cards in SLI only counts as 2GB. It doesn't stack on top of each other, because they both have the same data.

Save some money on the CPU, PSU, mobo, etc and go with dual 6970's/570's. Best option for running max settings in all games....

I would go with a 570, and possibly upgrade later with another 570 or even the next gen. 580 is def not worth it if your gonna be running it in 1080 and 60 hz moniter let alone the 3gb model.

3GB 580? I would just get either a pair of 1.5 or 2GB 580s and SLI them. Better yet, Get a pair of 570s and just SLi since your display is only supported up to 75Hz. 3GB 580 would be a waste I would personally find.

My only concern is asrock as a company.. ive heard terrible things about product support and when i look at EVGA and a few others actually replying when and where they can to customer complaints I immediately start to lean their way. Is Asrock worth it to negate bad support? If you still suggest it then I'll make the switch and save considerably more
