Of course it is, yet the iPhone still sells extremely well, compared to the regular Samsung phone....

You mean a new processor is better than one that came out in a phone 8 months ago. Say it ain't so! /sarcasm

Let's see how the 4s fares against the GS III in Q1 2012

Does this mean if a HTC phone has used Samsung RAM, it is also a "Samsung Model" ?

I don't mean to be rude but how stupid can you be.
you forgot one thing. the wireless chipset. its samsung and apple purchased it and used it without the consent of samsung

Without Samsung I'm sure the phone wouldn't perform nearly as well as it does...That's more fact than anything else...

So, Apple is taking a massive crap where it eats and they will eventually get burned by it.

In fact, I'd almost say that through the evolution of the parts that Samsung has created for Apple, they've moved into an "inventor" category as opposed to just making the part for the phone...Something that our laws certainly don't cover but they should.

If you're hired to make a part for company y, improve it, re-design it and make it more efficient, that part has become your creation and you should have the right to say "I made this"...Period.
The A5;

For a start Samsung don't own the architecture it's based on an ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore with a PowerVR SGX543MP2 for the GPU.

So Samsung cannot be credited with either the design or architecture of the chip in any way.

Apple design this chip.

Samsung produce this chip.

They are nothing but a production factory for Apple in terms of CPU.

I'm pretty sure Apple have the resource to build their own production plant and produce CPUs but its probably more cost effective for them to outsource.

I honestly wish people would do more research.

It's about time Samsung finally passed Apple.
so you're saying that if a company has more phone models, they will sell more units?

They'll be more likely to because you'll have products in many different price segments. But that doesn't ensure you'll be more profitable.
