Hi guys, I have been playing with my shiny new 8120 at the moment and I have run into a problem. I have been able to get it to a nice healthy 4.8 testing with IBT. However, at any speed above 4.4 I get the error "ILLEGAL SUMOUT" on 2 threads. Does anyone know what this may mean and how best to fix it? Your help is appreciated!

I am aware of that, it's just that it is only presented as an error and I more wanted to know if it indicates any part of the system in particular.

If its consistently doing it on the same two threads, then is possibly because they dont clock as well as the others. If bulldozer chips let you, you could disable them or clock them lower than the others.

Also sometimes CPU's just hit a brick wall and won't O'C past.

How much vcore at 4.4GHz 8-core load with out getting one or two "errored" cores while stressing?
Try bumping multi by .5 or bumping up the cpu bus by ~ 2/3 with slight increase(s) to vcore to find 8 core stress stability again.

The most annoying thing for me is that the "ILLEGAL SUMOUT"'s are just technically "warnings" but they occur repeatedly causing to to fail. I have to push about 1.4v at load to avoid the errors, but I can go to higher clocks with those same voltages and run LinX for hours without any errors which is really annoying. I'd hate to have a bad module on the chip and honestly I'm feeling like just calling LinX stable and putting the p95 results down as "odd". Also, I have heard that F@H can be used as a stress test and is much more sensitive. How? If that is true I think I would feel safe being F@H stable.
