I'm just wondering what happened to those reports of 'BF3 maxing out i7's with HT'....

Even with settings turned down, this game looks fantastic. This game will last well past the next round of computer builds, so higher settings are inevitable for us.

I have my settings lowered to high on everything 8xASF and no AA, hbao on. Might be able to turn hbao off and get some better performance. I need to go figure out what it does first though. Anyway, with those settings, on 3 screens, and in the giant conquest mode servers, I get around 60 a lot of the time. Unfortunately, I cant play across 3 screens right now.

Have you looked at the CPU utilization when you play? If you ever have you'd be really suprised.

This pleases me.

Looks like my lil 920 will hold his own. Good to know.

But still going to replace it as I need a different mobo to SLI my DCII with a Revodrive.

It maxes out my i7, but I'm not sure why/how.

I've got everything set to ultra and maxed at 2560x1600 with x3 480's and it runs great compaired to the beta, cards are running at 99% most of the time FPS stays pretty high but it gives off a lot of heat even with two 360 rads just for the cards alone, glad the first rad is in the basement, lol

Also highest the Vram that I've noticed was around 1475mb compared to the beta which maxed it out.

On my experience, multiplayer (even 32 Man) rapes dual cores. Tried locking my cores and OC'd it to 3.8 and the fps keeps dipping down to 20 fps. Unlocked it back to triple core @ 3.6 and voila! 40 fps minimum. My 6870 is still hovering @ 80 percent gpu usage. High settings. Shadow and effects @ ultra. No MSAA.

Personally AA off bothers me. I only really notice it on rails and fences and stuff but it really is degrading to the looks for me. I usually play with 2X to not destroy frames.
