Will Do munaim1 - The H60 Cooler I bought came with its own TIM so I just applied the cooler to the CPU after watching a video on how to do it tongue.gif

This was my first build and I lack some confidence in applying my own TIM lol!

I believe with flat surface cooler's, a small amount of TIM in the size of a rice grain usually does the trick and then just letting the pressure of the cooler do all the work. With HDT cooler's like the 212+, it requires a different method, 2 lines between the cooper pipes is usually the recommended procedure for best results..

The small rice grain should do the job nicely for your cooler. Here's an excellent article that can help in future: http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=38

draynoe, I got H-50 on mine.

Make sure you tighten the screws evenly firm following the order/instructions.

I used IC Diamond 7 (cost me $15 for a small tube kookoo.gif) when reinstalling the H-50 to the replacement mobo as I wasn't able to find Shin Estu anywhere near (the TIM that comes pre-applied on the Corsair CPU coolers)

Best was 1 degree Celsius drop in idle temp since both TIMs are very good.

Schmuckley - I did the OC'ing through UEFI not through Software smile.gif ... I just had the ASRock tool up to show running voltages etc...

ocman - I will try to see how everything runs for a while and if the temps keep going wonky I'll get some good TIM and reapply.

Thanks!

So I realized that I was only running 1 test in Prime 95 (I'm so new to this stuff) lol ...

I ran 4 and it put a 100% load on all Core's. At that point my Temps stayed within 4 or 5 degrees of each other ... Is that Okay?

Thanks!

Gotcha - One more question if you guys don't mind:

What the heck is:

- Advanced Turbo 50 and Load Optimized CPU OC?

They are both options in UEFI smile.gif

I'm currently still working on my OC but I've already hit 4.7ghz @ Prime95 Blend 12 hours stable. These are my settings just for a reference. That video posted here uses "Offset" mode for the Core Voltage which I might mess around with.

CPU Ratio Setting: Manual
Max Ratio: 47
Internal PLL Overvoltage: Enabled
Intel Speedstep: Enabled
Turbo Boost Power Limit: Manual
Short Duration Power Limit: 300
Long Duration Power Limit: 300
Additional Turbo Voltage: Auto
Core Current Limit: 250
Host Clock Override (BLCK): 100
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
Power Save Mode: Disabled
CPU Core Voltage: 1.395v
Load Line Calibration: Level 2
DRAM Voltage: 1.5v
PCH Voltage: 1.612v
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.750
VTT Voltage: 1.116
VCCSA Voltage 0.925

Under Advanced CPU Config I have C3 and C6 states disabled
