SSD, Warranty & Ebay

Thread Starter
So most companies only warranty the original owner/purchaser of the SSD, but does the warrany only apply from a legit store, like Newegg/Amazon or B&M store?

For example, if I bought a NEW (unopened) Crucial M4 from ebay, would I still have a 3 year warrany from Crucial?

I did RMA an OCZ and that's all that was required.

Just so I'm making the right assumptions, as long as the serial number on the drive is readable, you're covered?

Thanks for the info!

Nope.

Different companies have different policies. Some don't take eBay as a storefront even if it's listed as "new".

Contact Crucial and ask before you buy. Better safe than sorry.
